Assessing Music Medals

How do I assess Music Medals?

Flautist

Music Medals recognise the importance of the teacher in both the learning and the assessment processes. There are no external examiners involved and the initial assessment is made by the teacher in their role as Teacher-Assessor. The outcomes are then moderated by the Associated Board.

In order to successfully assess each performance it is important to begin by carefully reading the assessment objectives and criteria and to familiarise yourself with the assessment structure.

Our detailed assessment walkthrough then takes Teacher-Assessors through the entire process of preparing for and administering a Music Medal.
