  • his or her name
  • the name of the school
  • the name of his or her Music Medals Partner
  • the date

At the start of each Medal

Before the Option test

Before the Option test, the Teacher-Assessor should either announce to the camera which test is to be taken or ask the candidate which test he or she wishes to take.

Verbal introduction guidance

Candidates should be encouraged to speak clearly, as if directly to an audience, and this will usually need to be rehearsed. While this is a useful exercise for candidates in that it prepares them for other verbal performance situations, it may be that some pupils are uncomfortable with this. If this is the case the Teacher-Assessor should make the announcements.
