The brackets indicate that the line is Copper level and must be played, but it cannot be assessed for the purposes of a Medal.
The line should be played by the Teacher-Assessor, although it may also be played by a suitably advanced pupil.
Yes. You may arrange lines excepting the line taken by the candidate. Please view Regulation 14g which gives further information.
Candidates may play either with an accompaniment (live or CD backing track) or unaccompanied.
This is at your discretion. However, those repeats that are essential to the musical structure must be observed.
Yes. The Teacher-Assessor may play a line in the Ensemble. The only restriction is that the Teacher-Assessor may not play a line in a duet at Silver, Gold or Platinum level.
No. No doubling of lines is permitted.
