2  Music Medals Partners

a. Music Medals are operated in partnership with ABRSM by Music Medals Partners, i.e. organizations that register to operate Music Medals on behalf of their staff and pupils, undertaking a series of activities and responsibilities as detailed below. Music Medals Partners are usually Music Services (Instrumental Teaching Services) or schools but non-Music Service organizations which provide a range of group-teaching services may also be eligible, at ABRSM’s discretion.

b. In order to be registered as a Music Medals Partner, the Head of Music Service or Head Teacher (or equivalent) must sign a Partnership Agreement covering the following key undertakings (further details of which are covered elsewhere in these Regulations): to ensure that teachers undergo Teacher-Assessor training before operating Music Medals assessments; to notify ABRSM of trained Teacher-Assessors on an ongoing basis; to notify ABRSM of any Music Medals Co-ordinators registered under the Partnership Agreement; to notify ABRSM of Teacher-Assessors/Music Medals Co-ordinators/Trainers leaving the organization and thus no longer registered under the Partnership Agreement; to take all reasonable steps to ensure the confidentiality of material and information relating to Music Medals; to accept responsibility for ensuring the personal integrity of Teacher-Assessors/Music Medals Co-ordinators/Trainers and their suitability for working with children; to ensure that consent is obtained from parents/guardians to the video-recording of children; to agree to the passing of copyright to ABRSM for all Music Medals video-recordings submitted for moderation; to accept liability for payment of entry fees under the circumstances described in these Regulations; to undertake to abide by the Music Medals Regulations.

c. Following acceptance of the above undertakings by the signing of the Partnership Agreement, a Partner number is assigned to the signatory. This number, used in conjunction with a confidential password, allows access to all relevant information concerning the Music Medals activities of the Music Medals Partner, including the names of registered Teacher-Assessors/Music Medals Co-ordinators/Trainers, details of past and current entries, results statistics, and moderation information for Teacher-Assessors. It is the responsibility of the signatory to safeguard the confidentiality of the password.

d. ABRSM reserves the right to refuse or terminate registration of any organization.
