Payment
10 Payment
a. Current Music Medals fees are available from the Introduction section of this website.
b. The online entry process requires the applicant to choose either to pay for Music Medals entries direct, thus accepting liability, or to transfer liability for payment to an organization (school or Music Service) on whose behalf entries are being made. Where the liability is transferred, details of entries made and fees owing are e-mailed to the organization concerned, which must then choose whether to accept liability for payment. Only when acceptance of liability has been confirmed may Music Medals entries proceed.
c. Payment may be made:
- online: by debit/credit card at the time of online entry
- token: by quoting the number of a token purchased in advance of online entry (see d-f below)
- offline: by debit/credit card, cheque, bank draft or BACS
- by invoice: a Music Medals Partner/Co-ordinator may apply to ABRSM to pay by invoice (see g below).
d. Tokens representing full entry payment for Music Medals may be purchased online by individuals or organizations, or offline by organizations purchasing in bulk (by purchase order).
e. Tokens are valid for one year from the date of purchase and have no monetary value. They may not be used in part-payment of an assessment. Tokens are transferable between candidates before use, but may not be transferred once used as payment. Purchase of a token does not constitute an entry.
f. Tokens can be used only as payment for a Music Medal of the same level or lower. If used for a Medal of a lower level, no refund will be made for the difference in cost.
g. Applications to pay by invoice will be considered on an individual basis by ABRSM and will be the subject of a separate agreement between the organization concerned and ABRSM.
